Men's
Fellowship
Our ministry is to enhance the unity and fellowship among
all men in our church (visitors included) by gathering for
fellowship and a meal. We have also developed a prayer partner
program.
The
desire and purpose of the Mens Fellowship is to involve
our men in fellowship and times of sharing so as to strengthen
us as individuals and to edify the Church, the Body of Christ.
This should enable us to be better witnesses for Christ.
We do not function as a governmental body but strictly as
a fellowship community.
One
of our greatest strengths is the love and unity we have
among the brethren. Our men have a spirit of caring and
concern that stands as a true reflection of our pastor and
the church as a whole.
Women's
Ministries
The
Bible teaches us that Christian ladies are to be virtuous,
strong, honorable, wise, full of charity, exemplary mothers,
complimentary to their husbands, and laborers in the home
and in the church (Proverbs 31:10-31).
Our
church is involved with many of our lady members who are
in ministry through circle groups. These ladies circle
groups fulfill various functions. They are very instrumental
in establishing fundraisers for our ministry needs. Our
ladies also serve our church members families in the
time of bereavement. They provide hospitality, fellowship,
and kindness to our visiting ministers and evangelists.
The
Womens Ministries reach out to our church shut-ins
with prayer and visitation. Other activities include:
- Prayer
- Missions
- Benevolence
- Visitation
- Fellowship
We
have formed a bond of friendships through the unity of the
Holy Spirit.
Senior
Saints
Our commitment is to organize Christian activities and
fellowship to keep our young at heart senior saints active
in the church and to show they are appreciated.
We
have qualified, eager volunteers that devote their time
and energy to organizing Christian oriented functions.
Ministries
that Reach Outside of the Church
Outreach
Ministry
The mission of the Outreach program is two-fold:
- To
use whatever means available to reach the unreachable
for Jesus Christ and the Church;
- To
serve and preserve new converts after they have found
Jesus Christ.
The
Bible teaches that Christians need to help those in need
spiritually and physically. This is especially true for
new converts to Jesus Christ, orphans, widows and widowers,
and those ill with sickness and disease (Isa. 1:17, Jer.
22:3, Mat. 19:13-15, 25:34-40, Jam. 1:27). To fulfill this
calling, the church has an outreach ministry. Our goal is
to reach out to those in our local community
and abroad. This church soundly believes in supporting the
ministries of missionaries throughout the world and the
mission field that lies within our local community. Moreover,
in our local area, we have established a time to visit those
on Tuesdays beginning at 7:00 p.m. Some Sunday School classes
also choose to visit those in need on Monday nights. On
Friday, there is Discipleship Training beginning at 6:30
p.m. for those who are seeking to have a stronger and closer
walk with the Lord, and for new converts, who need to learn
and better understand Gods Word so they can be rooted
and grounded in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Also as a part of our outreach, visitations are frequently
made to local jails and prisons.
Nursing
Home
The nursing home ministry is designed to take the attributes
of the Dallas Church of God and the Spirit of God to individuals
in rest homes who are not able to go to church and experience
the power of God in a church setting.
The
focal purpose of the nursing home ministry is the following:
- To
reach lost souls and win them to Jesus Christ;
- To
be a voice to those who have not heard the name of Jesus
and the Gospel;
- To
bring the knowledge of Gods plan of salvation through
Christ Jesus to all that will hear and believe;
- To
bring a message of hope and confidence in the promise
and power of God to deliver, heal, and restore those who
will believe in him by faith;
- To
assure all that God is faithful and true to His word.
We
have a great group that is very compassionate toward the
elderly. Our strengths lie only in the abilities God has
given us. We have people that are faithful and pray for
the will of God. We have great singing, and the preaching
of Gods Word has changed all that have listened for
the betterment of their lives spiritually and physically.
We have also seen many saved and reclaimed for the Kingdom
of God, and many have been healed through faith and prayer.
We are excited about what God is doing.
