Children's Ministries

As we all know, children are full of unlimited energy and sparkling imagination. With these two ingredients, we, the Dallas Church of God Children’s staff, like to create life-sized Bible lessons that become real life situations inside your child’s mind. The purpose of these exciting lessons is to teach Godly principles and prepare your child for the teenage years ahead. The Bible states, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Prov.22:6).

With this in mind, our staff of well trained, Holy Ghost filled teachers will certainly help to make an impact on your child’s life.

Children’s Sunday Morning Ministries

Children's Choir
Sunday morning children’s choir begins at 9:45 a.m. This time is used as a motivational tool to encourage children to use their God-given talents. This includes singing, skit presentations, scripture memorization, and much, much more.

Children's Church
During Sunday morning worship service at 11:00 am, the little children (Ages 4 – 6 yrs.) have a special children’s church created just for them. Here, little children learn about God and how He can touch their lives, even though they are still very small. Special preschool and elementary teaching materials are incorporated into the curriculum through object lessons, singing, and puppet skits.

Junior Church
Also at 11:00 am, the older children (Ages 9 – 12 yrs.) assemble for a unique worship service all their own. This special children’s church uses a more advanced curriculum teaching Christian principles to prepare children for the teenage years and the adult worship service. It focuses on giving children the confidence they need to use their talents for the Lord.

Wednesday Night Ministries

Joybelles and Bluebelles
On Wednesday night during worship service at 7:00 pm, the Dallas Church of God girls (ages 5-12) have their own special clubs. These clubs teach girls more about God, the Bible, and the church. They also teach values such as reverence, respect, love, and how to pray for their own needs. Also included in the clubs are planned outings and activities that are Christian-centered. Each year a fundraiser is held for missions to teach these girls the importance and the blessings of giving.


Boys Brigade
Another Wednesday night club starting at 7:00 pm, is the Dallas Church of God Boys Brigade (ages 5-12). This special children’s program combines Biblical instruction and thrilling activities to prepare young boys for adulthood. The Bible lessons taught in this program teach about Biblical boyhood heroes that grab the attention of this age. This program is not limited to the classroom. These boys take frequent outdoor fieldtrips such as camping, swimming, basketball, etc.


Sonbeams
Another wonderful Wednesday night program starting at 7:00 pm is the little Sonbeams class (ages 2-4). Teachers of this class present Bible stories in a very simple form that will enhance, not only their learning skills, but also their Christian skills.

Vacation Bible School

Every year the Dallas Church of God produces an exciting week of fun and activities. A different theme is used each year and is supported by different characters, mascots, skits, puppets, games, and intricately decorated classrooms. You may even expect a visit from a 10-foot “Mighty, Mighty Christian”, a 4-foot animated shark, or “Sam Saint Super Sleuth.” All these activities culminate in pointing children to Jesus. It is an exciting time of fun and worship for all ages!!!
